The smocking at the chest gives it just enough stretch that it slides on without a fight, which is saying something with a wiggly 8-month-old. The muslin is so light I've been reaching for it on the hottest afternoons, and the shoulder ruffles are a cute touch without being fussy.
Bought this for my niece's first birthday photos and the smocking at the chest is such a sweet detail without looking fussy. The ruffled straps stayed put through a whole afternoon of crawling, which I didn't expect from something this lightweight.
