The knotted top actually lets me loosen it as my daughter grows, which is why we got two. It's snug enough that she can't yank it off, but the cotton stays soft after several washes.

Wasn't expecting the tagless inside to matter this much, but my daughter actually stopped clawing at her head during naps. The cotton feels thicker than the cheap hats we had before, and it stays snug without leaving a red line across her forehead.

The knotted top is genius—we've adjusted it twice already as she grows, and it still covers her ears snugly. Also love that it's tagless; she never fusses about the hat rubbing her neck. Great organic cotton quality too.
